About the programs
Starting in January parents can choose from FOUR separate days of daytime enrichment programming, each highlighting different art forms—ceramics, music and sound, Spanish language arts, creative drama, culinary arts, movement and dance, drawing and painting—and adding to that arts-forward, project-based, specific core subject enrichment. We’re also adding after-school ceramics, arts crafting, French language arts, and multiple dance classes through our new dance conservatory.
And we’re not leaving the adults behind. We’re adding adult classes in mat pilates, yoga, and dance for starters.

DAY PROGRAM
The Hi-Desert Cultural Center is thrilled to open registration for its Fall/Winter 2024 Arts Enrichment Day Program designed to meet the needs of homeschooled and independent study students. We’ve added specialized DRAMA/THEATER and MUSIC instructors to the program so that the participants have more opportunities to experience and learn even more dance, drama, music, and visual art!
We’ve also added an arts curriculum that takes the students on a world culture arts journey this semester. Each week will focus on a different culture, and students can expect to discover new forms of art, drama, music, and dance, like the Chinese Dragon dance, Native American storytelling, African masks, and Irish folk music singalongs. Please note that participants are expected to participate in all the art forms unless a physical issue and/or illness prevents participation.
Our first year of this program was a great success and the we expect this semester’s program to fill up quickly. Please register now and then apply for your POs from your charter school if needed or applicable.
AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Hi-Desert Cultural Center is excited to open registration for its 2024 Fall Semester After School Arts Courses for youth grades pre-K through 12, and private lessons for students of any age—including adults. Also brought back by popular demand is the private “family” lessons, where a parent participates and learns with their child!
The Cultural Center is thrilled to announce that we have hired some new instructors in Drama, Music, and the Visual Arts—and this Fall it is introducing new courses in Creative Songwriting and Music Recording, Improv, Contemporary Dance, and Advanced Drawing & Painting! The Cultural Center will be having additional workshops on Wednesdays that can include ceramics (we have a kiln now!), choreography, and other exciting options throughout the year and so we ask you to indicate your interest in those so we know whether to schedule them. The Cultural Center is also starting a chess club for all ages—so if you are interested in a class in chess and the club… please let us know!
DANCE CONSERVATORY
AT THE DANCE CONSERVATORY @ HDCC WE ARE DEDICATED TO NURTURING CREATIVITY, DISCIPLINE, AND ARTISTIC EXPRESSION THROUGH THE ART OF DANCE.
Our conservatory is more than just a place to learn movement; it’s a vibrant community where dancers of all ages and skill levels come together to grow, explore, and connect. With a strong foundation in multiple dance disciplines and a commitment to excellence, we aim to inspire our students to reach their full potential, whether pursuing professional careers or simply embracing the joy of dance.
This semester, the Dance Conservatory will be offering Ballet I & II, Modern I & II, Advanced Ballet, Company Class, Adult Ballet, Adult Modern, and Adult Pilates Mat Class.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT/BALLET/TAP
TTDC is a mom-owned business since 2012 + we specialize in early childhood dance education. We believe dance for early movers should be intentional, creative, and child-centered.
Litte ones are invited to come explore creative dance and movement in this whimsical dance class. We get these young dancers moving with imaginative props, fun music, creative imagery and storytelling. Learn to plie with our balloon dance, leap like a dolphin, chasse like a unicorn and so much more. Great class for your expressive toddler or preschooler who loves to boogie and twirl!

APPLICATIONS
Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, and class sizes will be limited. Minimum class sizes also may be required and classes not meeting those minimums may be cancelled—with a full refund to those enrolled. Enrollment is not complete without payment or a Charter School Purchase Order Confirmation. Except in special circumstances, there are no mid-semester cancellations once your spot is reserved through enrollment and payment. In most circumstances, your registration and acceptance is a semester-long commitment, without which we can not efficiently manage class sizes and first-come-first-served enrollment. We may allow a student to transfer to a different class/instrument if we can accommodate the change. WE ARE AN APPROVED VENDOR FOR iLead, Granite Mountain, Compass, and River Springs Charter Schools, but you MUST complete this registration and we will bill against the purchase order your student’s teacher will set up for your account.
Most courses have specific age/grade requirements (or advance permission by the instructor), so please read each description thoroughly when enrolling for courses. If you are requesting to register a student for a class outside of the listed age range, please email or call us first to get permission.
Please note that some class locations, times, and durations have changed from last year. Also there are new course offerings!
