PLAN YOUR VISIT
The Hi-Desert Cultural Center is committed to making your entertainment experience the most enjoyable possible. Please see the below information so that you can get the most out of your experience at our venues and in our beautiful Joshua Tree National Park.
DRESS CODE
There is no official dress code at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center, unless otherwise specified for a particular event. We want our audience members to be comfortable while watching our performances. Select attire that feels appropriate to you and for the event that you are attending. You will find audience members differ greatly in what they choose to wear when coming to the Cultural Center.
CHILDREN
CHILDREN UNDER FIVE YEARS OF AGE ARE NOT PERMITTED unless stated otherwise in the ticket announcement.
As young children can be disruptive to our performances, please use discretion when bringing a child. Everyone, regardless of age and INCLUDING INFANTS & TODDLERS, must have a ticket to be admitted to the theater. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house staff. Parents with disruptive children will be asked to leave. If needed, content advisories are indicated on each show definition to determine if a particular show is suitable for children.
ANIMALS
NO EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS ARE PERMITTED; ONLY BONAFIDE SERVICE DOGS ARE PERMITTED, in accordance with California and Federal laws protecting individuals with disabilities. A service dog is defined as a dog that is specially trained to help a specific individual with a disability with services. A dog will not qualify as a service dog if it is not specifically trained to help an individual with a disability in a way that is related to his or her disability. Pretending to be the owner of a service dog is a criminal misdemeanor.
MOBILE PHONES + ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Mobile phones and portable electronic devices must be turned off in the theater. If you must be available for professional emergency purposes, please leave your phone on vibrate so as to not disturb other patrons.
CAMERAS + RECORDING DEVICES
Actors’ Equity Association and other copyright holders strictly prohibit the use of cameras or recording devices in the theater. Please leave such devices with the house manager before entering the theater.
LATECOMERS + RE-ADMITTANCE
Latecomers are seated at the discretion of the house manager, which may be as late as intermission. Latecomers may be denied admission depending on the demands or structure of a particular production. Please allow yourself adequate time to arrive, park, and be seated. Should you need to leave the theater during a performance, re-admittance and seating will be at the discretion of the house manager so as to not disturb the audience and performers.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Please inform us when purchasing tickets if anyone in your party requires wheelchair seating, aisle access, or other accommodations.
