ABOUT THE

PHILHARMONIC

Formed in the Spring of 2004 by Jarrod Radnich, the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Joshua Tree Philharmonic is a professionally-minded, inter-generational community orchestra. The orchestra has continued to grow and mature—with a mix of professional, amateur, and dedicated student musicians collaborating as they rehearse and then perform a variety of musical styles and genres in public concerts. Many of the musicians mentor young members and provide valuable guidance in ensemble performance. The concerts also provide an important educational opportunity for the local residents, many who would not otherwise have access to live orchestral music and instruments.
